Weather is variable, this is what it should be like and looks ideal apart from the NW wind perhaps. It can be warm though, in 06 when I ran it it was 70F and very warm.

watch the runner in Paula's pack wearing yellow she lands first on her heel and you can see the shockwave going through her leg whereas Paula bounds joyfully along on forefoot,

two of the male gadgies look like they're wearing Spira running shoes with the wave spring technology, seem to recall some dude wearing them for a 10k but the time was not qualified due to the assistance the shoe provides.
