LG - are supermarkets open later with you than down south. Here they shut at 4pm on a Sunday.

Yes they are shades, we don’t have the Sunday trading laws you have. Asda will be open till midnight as per usual.

Pre pandemic some supermarkets were open 24-7 only closing for Xmas and New Year and possibly Easter.

Shades
Pre pandemic Tesco and Asda here were open 24 hours but still closed Saturday night. Then 6 hours open on a Sunday. Now they open at 6 a.m. M - S. Easter Sunday all supermarkets closed here.

I used to like working Sundays early in the 80’s as you got double time then the law changed as it was then just part of your working week.

Well done DQ my friend became an extra Marshall at The Wall the year I did it as people were lost at a junction we got an extra Marshall put in place
