Finally managed to mow the lawn, after 36 hours without rain.

The lawns have grown so little, there's hardly any point in mowing. Even with the recent rain, they've not done much.
Which did not stop the council from coming round (on, I presume, a schedule) and close-cutting grass which absolutely did not need it and now looks a scalped mess in some areas. It's almost like they are trying to compensate for leaving it for months last year.

My grass has been growing... Too well in fact! May have something to do with my biodynamic growing methods of everything else...

Our grass won’t stop growing but I suspect that’s due to the rain

We’re not cutting our grass more than once a month. Leaving it a little on the long side allows the clover etc to flower and still provide protection for the froglets. Sadly, the cats are quite fond of pooing in the long grass, so we need to be careful where we walk.

ER that is an excellent thing to do! It sequesters more carbon than planting trees!

Thanks H, I didn’t know the carbon sequestering fact.

ER, I too have that problem with neighbouring cats.
How much grass do you have to abstain from cutting in order to sequester more carbon than how many trees?
