Evening all.

I can confirm that the date is Sunday 2nd October 2011.

I can also confirm, that due to health and safety issues at a couple of points on the current course, a new course / new courses are having to be investigated. We aim to still include the run along the seafront........and it will still be very flat indeed!

I can understand that, actually. Shame. Still, no harm in changing the route and giving me some variety for next year. I know it'll still be super-flat.

Is it that bit where you come to the end of Greenfield Lane and go across with a blind dip in the road from Alford to Mablethorpe? I think there were police there?

My parents lived on Greenfield Lane for over 20 years and my Mum was obsessed with how dangerous that junction was to the point that she even told the man driving the hearse to my Dad's funeral to be careful when he got there!!!!! I don't think she could help herself, she always told people to be careful there, even if they weren't actually going that way!

The great thing is, with Mabo being so flat, any change of route, especially if it ends up on the sea front, shouldn't impact on times or PBs. Hope the admin and organisational side of things isn't too much of a headache Samson; after 4 years of being heavily involved in my clubs race, I've had enough of that hassle, and I take my hat off to anyone that puts effort into a race :)
