Search only seems to give me up to 2015 race so apologies if I have missed the thread.
Two friends are considering it this year. I have no interest in doing another marathon but as a suggestion as a lads getaway I have been told there is a 10k.
Looking at the website, it seems they are in different places (which makes sense I guess, logistically). Has anyone have experience of these two races? Are they close together in terms of venue?
If this miraculously works out and we all sign-up, any suggestions on places to stay?

Finish at same place
Starts different - think (?) there are buses from finish up to start of both.

Ok cool, thanks. Guess I can finish and hang around for them for a while. I assume this doesn't finish in the middle of nowhere (ie I can just go to a pub/town for 2-3 hours whilst they finish their silly distance)?

Finish area is near town - about 1 mile to city centre but there a sports centre etc v nearby. (across footie pitches)

Perfect, thanks very much. Flights don't look too bad (£110 return, go Saturday come back Monday) so maybe this isn't a crazy idea. Just need to look at a place to stay.

book early - it gets busy that weekend - loads of runner types!
clue: look at Inverness parkrun page - that roughly where the finish is - zoom out and see distance to city centre (not very far)
