Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It's a wonderful deathmatch (24-04)

G5 caused me some difficulties. Pipes carrying turds to the Thames or a place where 100s of unwashed over privileged students go to ‘find themselves’.

I finally went turds on the basis they at least don’t come back, whereas the students do…..

There hasn’t been a single neither/both/killing the X in any of this round’s games.

On second thoughts a pile of dusty rocks is better than a pile of dusty blue plastic panels.

Just had a nostalgic read through the freshwater fish DM. What a few days that was, both as memorable as if it was yesterday but simultaneously another era a long time ago. A bit like the 2012 Olympics.

The quality of the posting was top notch ‘the bleak’s chances are bleak’, etc.

Recommended for a coffee time browse on a rainy Friday…..

Things about the British freshwater fish DM:

- It was tiny, only 16 on the start sheet. No wildcards.

- Grep was militant and strident in preserving the integrity of the start list, despite bleaterati wanting Carp (‘not native’), Eels (‘part salt water dwelling)

- In those days you had to run off to the ‘polls’ to vote, they weren’t embedded

- it was the same old regulars as now 😃

Gudgeon; now there’s a wonder. Pound for pound the barbuled bottom feeder is a champion fish and a winner
