I used my old trainers that had done too many miles, but then i put them through the washing machine and they will be fine again for this year :-)

I haven't done this race before but if its anything like the hellrunner then make sure the shoes are tied on tight or you may lose one in the bottom of a boggy bit!

thanks PB - so you didn't feel an urge to run off and buy trail shoes solely so you could ruin them doing this year's race then?
