Plb ((( ))) take care esp if you do think you feel better - you will have lost energy an fluid with even a short-lived bug. If it the half you planned that's a lot of jelly babies to keep you going. Take care

Just home, had a great 10k. Loved it and as I suspected got quite emotional going over K Bridge.
Just wanted to thank everyone who has supported me to get to this, family, friends, and not least the wonderful Jog Leaders at Jog Scotland Chryston.
To finish my morning had the great privilege to meet Nywanda and her hubby. Now to go and prepare buffet to celebrate my son's 21st Birthday, which was yesterday.
Life has never been so good

I'm back. Not a great time but still managed a course PB but no personal one. Up side - I got to meet 3 lovely Fetchies and I got a t-shirt signed by Nell McAndrew and Mark Foster. Ohhh and a photo taken with them as well. Downside? My achilles and calf muscle is playing up. Does not bode well for the GNR in 2 weeks.

Quite happy with 1:36:11, just inside my PW which given my injury troubles this year feels good.
Overall an enjoyable day, but a few course issues that need addressed. The variable width, especially in the first few miles makes running tricky, especially when groups of 4 run in a line and clearly started further forward than they should.
Also there were a lot of corners that could be cut, especially in the parks and I often found myself forced to cut corners as that was the way the group of runners were going
That said, it still beats Edinburgh Marathon for organisation
