Football365 weren’t happy either.

I think I’m a bit out of step with the world on this one. I think the chants are generally funny and in jest. As a united fan one of my favourite chants is about Park which isn’t complimentary of the scousers.

I have a Chelsea supporting mate who still insists on using an 80s insult for scousers, which is basically pointing and laughing at the poverty Liverpool suffered (and continues to suffer to a degree) under Tory governments.

I really dislike that, and particularly as having grown up in Leicester I the 80s knowing that we didn’t exactly dodge that bullet either.

And now with the state of the nation laughing at the financial straits so many people find themselves in through no fault of there own is in poor taste. Not as bad as hillsborough references, I’d grant you, but still in poor taste.

I wasn’t thinking about that, I was stuck in the Eighties tropes

As you say, that’s universal and a non-joke so hardly worth getting upset about.

I was more upset by the ref with his Liverpool shirt under his ref’s shirt, Dio.

That Football365 article is pretty spot on. Basically, football fans en masse employ lazy and ignorant ‘banter’ which doesn’t truly reflect them, the game, or the state of the nation.

“Same old Cockneys, always cheating” I find quite offensive: we’re not Cockneys.

I presume that's the one to a Gerry & The Pacemakers song. Certainly out of date and not amusing.

Isn't Chelsea's latest thing to wave banknotes at the opposition fans? Again, something that should have gone out years ago and will no doubt be adopted by Newcastle in due course.

Oh, I know nothing is going to change. Just wasn't upset by the result because the fans chose to be tory enabling pricks

Klopp very very quiet about the potential career ending tackle be one of his kids.

But you put it on Robertson and he's whinging to the media like a goodun

Waving bank notes at Grobelaar back in the day was very funny. Think he was laughing as well….

Ah, the beautiful game, remember that? Let's put down some jumpers and have a socially-distanced kickabout. Long shots only, and no hugging and kissing.
