I do very much like the idea of what was planned, but somehow I had decided that it wasn't for me. I can't quite say why but the coinage wasn't the killer factor - at the end of the day, if it's going to be a special thing then it'd be worth it. But perhaps I'm completely contradicting myself when I say that a "£20 half marathon, followed by a free-for-all at a nearby venue" type thing would be up my street.

Oh
I must admit though that the price tag was causing problems over here too. Lovely idea to pick a race which we could all descend on near some accommodation though - maybe we could do that and then have a natter afterwards about we could do to fix up Fetchstock?
As for running to and from pubs, it works for us hashers

that it didn't work out but was a bit unsure about whether to go or not because its a lot of time and money to spend a whole weekend with a lot of people I've only met on line up to now.
A Fetch half with social after would still be good.

LOL im a bit slow on the uptake here! haha ! sorry pabsey - maybe another time. could organise a fetch thunder run type event. can run single/teams.... maybe not 24 hours though. maybe a relay over a shorter time span with shorter laps. drinking, eating and merryness involved too
