This sounds interesting. I'll take a leaf out of McGoohan's book first & check to see if there are any engineering works on the East Coast line that weekend.

Damn & blast it. Count me out I'm afraid.
Ive just checked on the National Rail website & to get to the start, it's the usual story. I'd have to get up, before I went to bed, to get there on time. What would normally be a journey with one change of train would involve four changes including a rail replacement bus between Bexhill & Hastings.
Oh well, see you all at Beachy Head in October.

Typically, it being the day of the Hastings 5, National Rail have put rail replacement buses to Hastings from every direction. However, I'm not beaten yet.
