My guts are a bit better. Might brave a lie down. And continue the campaign to ensure that Cedd doesn't turn out to be a Tory by listening to some nice music about protest movements, the perils of poverty and the like

All OK. Cedd gave the soncaid a good kicking - apparently s/he doesn't like us nosy types trying to listen in!!! Doc was fab. SpR not consultant so he wasn't sure of a few things, but he listened really well, admitted when he didn't know and put a shed load of effort into finding out for us.
Off to see the anaesthetist in the next few weeks. Happy joy. Not very keen on anaesthetists but hopefully this one will turn out to be OK.

Yay for karate Cedd!
There's something odd about having to meet people you know are going to do strange or unpleasant things to you. It must be a bit like going for a lunchtime pint with a traffic warden, knowing your car's parked on double yellow lines right outside the pub...

I'm not planned for a C/S but I need to meet an anaesthetist
1. Because meeting obnoxious men with no social skills puts me in my place and reminds me I probably couldn't do better than Mr LF 2. Because Fanny said I probably should 3. Because I had spinal surgery as a child and am still wired for sound inside. Which means there may (or may not) be problems should I need an epidural for any reason.
I don't particularly want an epidural but I'd rather have a nice calm assessment now than have demented idiots running around me trying to figure out how the hell to dull the pain and then resorting to a sharp blow on the head with a brick should there be any problems during labour. Somehow the idea of having an epidural for an emergency section- like my mate did with no probs - is less than appealing of they can only guarantee to numb half my belly.

Cheers Mik. You keep away from the docs - they only make you ill.
