I was up in Wharfedale today and bagged loads of Oystercatchers - they were in Littondale, by the Wharfe as you approach Arncliffe.
Also had an excellent sighting of a buzzard, it landed on a fence post just as we were driving by. Think I saw one earlier on too.

Saw a few groups of golden plover today in the mist, and 5 male black grouse. I think they may be gathering to form a lek.

Flippin cold along river this morning! Five Cormorants, a few Mallard and a surprise Wigeon. No singing Chaffs down here today despite the sunshine. That's a nice couple of birds Jackdaw...will NEVER get Black Grouse this far south!

Siskin earlier today when out walking the hounds. Just at Bradon Marsh. Seen plenty of water birds, plus a Treecreeper or two. No mythical wren but as I'm typing a GSW has appeared on some feeders.
