They've only actually bred on the IOW though, haven't they? At least so far? I wonder how they will interact with the Osprey in Poole harbour. |

Brambling in the garden today 😍 Loads of stuff on the feeders. Although I'm refusing to top up the meal worms as the long tailed tit's have eaten a while feeder in one day! |

Well, I got that one very wrong! First chiffchaff of the year this afternoon, March 5. Can't recall ever hearing one so early. Wasn't where I normally hear my first one, either (although that's not to say that they're not back there already yet, I just haven't been there for a few days).

I saw a very big flock of geese in a field today. I was driving with nowhere to stop, but I suspect pinkies. Curlews calling today and heard from my garden. |

@jacdaw - seems I missed out yesterday. The 'official' log was 3 eagles seen there in the afternoon! The web (boat tours & bird sightings) imply the ospreys and white tailed eagles get on together. Well, not against each other. Maybe they have different times of the yer, or Poole Harbour and the surrounding heaths / woods and wetlands are big enough for them all? (Plus an assortment of owls, harriers, buzzards etc) |
