Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Starting to feel like Spring! Birds singing in the morning is amazing.

Got a Greenfingers camera and birdbox yesterday. Can't wait to set that up.

The field where the curlew seem to always arrive at, before dispersing to their breeding spots, is full of (tens of?) Curlew. It must be spring.

There's an unfamiliar bird song coming from my garden at the moment. I can't pinpoint the bird itself, but I just know it'll be a great tit again.

Lovely views of a small flock of siskin feeding on alder this morning. The males were so bright in the sunshine. Frogspawn, too (not in the alder, obviously ..)

Haven't seen a single siskin this winter locally, which is very unusual. Not sure why.

We used to have siskin and yellowhammer in the lanes around here, but sadly no longer. The siskins were on a nearby 'rewilded' estate, on which we counted 40-odd bird species on a walk this morning.
