Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Don't laugh, it's true I tell you. I got back from my run this morning, & I was just getting out of my running gear in the bedroom, when this little chap flew in. He flew round the bedroom a couple of times, crashed into the big window trying to get out, & then rested on the window he came in by. After having a breather for a couple of minutes, he flew off into the garden. Does anyone know what it is? It had a bright red patch over each eye. I suppose you could say it had red eyebrows.

Great, thanks DT.

Not sure why that little chap wanted to get into our bedroom. My wife laughingly said it was looking for somewhere to nest. I'm glad it didn't hurt itself when it flew into the window. It seemed to fly off into the garden okay.

re Swifts bonners..I reckon I'll be last and not you! None around here although they're elsewhere within three miles. I've not seen any.
Two separate singing Lesser Whitethroats this morning, three Cetti's at different sites, two Reed Warblers at different sites. Many runners out quite early between 7am and 8am!

Really pleased to have seen the woodpecker we kept hearing in our local park while we were out early on a photography walk this morning.
