I’m 90% certain I saw a barn owl this morning. A cream coloured bird dropping out of the sky onto prey (presumably)

Finally got some local(ish) blackcaps on Monday up at Hardcastle Crags, including good views of a nice pair working hard taking grubs to their young.

DT, was standing at the start of a race one evening last week and had a great view of a barn owl quartering the meadow next to us. Wonderful birds.

Not a great photo, as it was taken through binoculars and mobile phone camera. I'll try to get a better one if they return tonight when my camera comes home.
