Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Some good views of a lone Goosander up the Conquet Valley yesterday as I headed out of possibly the remotest place in England after a couple of days in the hills and some Goat supporting.

I saw three (including a very smart male) in the slightly more mundane environs of the Leeds-Liverpool canal near Skipton ff on Tuesday afternoon

Nice DT. Got home last night to the news that our Great Northern Diver is back for another winter. He's late this year and I was beginning to wonder if he wasn't coming. I think that is now 20 of the last 21 years there has been one over wintering here. I shall try and see if I can spot him later on today.

I remember way back in the late 80’s or maybe early 90’s hearing about a GND at Rudyard. I’ve never seen one

Last night we saw two hare on the Bolton Abbey Estate and this morning I had a decent view of a fox a couple of miles from home

Flock of LTT visited the garden this morning. Always a brief visit but lovely just the same.
