Down the beach today, the seagulls must be territorial. The usual group of herring gulls with young and the greater black backed watching over everything. Suddenly the gbb jumps on a youngster and tries to drown it. It kept flapping it's wings when it got some air. This went on for a few minutes - it nearly escaped once, I thought it was a goner. It was eventually released and the others started chasing it away then they all disappeared.

No hunger with that lot jacdaw, that's where the fisherman feeds them every day when he de-heads and guts his catch.

Fragile Do Not Bend
I know that some birds can get very bold where there are outdoor eating areas, but the sparrows at this cafe I’m eating at are the bravest I’ve ever seen. Just had a female sparrow on my table that was *this* close to helping herself from my plate.
