I got a pic (not a very good one - phone through a window!) of our yellow and black striped head fellow who I think is a Yellowhammer and missus thinks more likely Siskin. Should I post it for you proper twitchers?  G

That looks like a Yellowhammer to me Happy. Siskin's are more yellow/green with yellow patches on the wings. rspb.org.uk rspb.org.uk |

Yes, definitely a yellowhammer, I would say. Smart little fellow, isn't he? Fantastic to get one in your garden, they're normally birds of open countryside.

Yeah, I agree, not a siskin. Looks like a yellowhammer to me; not that I see many of those these days.
