Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Right - I've had a chance to look, and closed off two bugs.

1) If you bet on someone via a race listing eg http://www.fetcheveryone.com/viewracedetails.php?id=92748 it would silently completely and utterly fail :-) That should be working now, although I can't retrieve the older bets.

2) If there was a duplicate race e.g. two London marathons - and the system hoovered up the duplicate, then the bets on the 'removed' race were left floating. That shouldn't be happening now.

There are some other bits of tidying up that I can do, and there'll be some new notifications e.g. when someone has bet on you, or if someone you've bet on pulls out, or when they've entered their time. Look out for those :-)

Thanks! No 1 must have happened to me!

Do I need to bet again to see my points? (ie has it lost the ones I bet and therefore I don't see anything on my account?)

Yep, I can't retrieve the older bets - you need to bet again (or accept my apologies for races already run).

It also now sends a notification to the person being bet on - unless you supply a message, in which case they get an fmail.

It used to tell us what the persons pb time was and what their result was so we could see how they'd done, all it now tells me is that I won some points.

Did it also not used to tell you who bet on you? Just had a message to say I've been bet on, but no other details other than taking me to the race page (which, considering it says what race they have put points on in the message, is lovely but seems a bit needless!)

There's no betting button for York Marathon. I thought this might be as it was too far away, but it's less than two weeks now...
