Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I was expecting a packet containing coffee pods today, so when a parcel arrived I didn't think much of it. But then another parcel arrived that was clearly my coffee pods. On opening the first parcel I found my brilliant swimming advent calendar gift. I'd forgotten about it, but now am planning where and when I can use it. I used to swim a lot, but have gradually lost the live as my eyesight has deteriorated (I hate walking into a pool where I can't even see the signs indicating lanes or deep/shallow end) Now I've got a lap counter, racing goggles, a water bottle, swim cap, one of those things you hold with your legs to make your arms work more, and a natty bag to keep it all in. Here we go!

I've considered them, but I don't do enough swimming to justify them. Then again, if I had some, I might do more swimming!

I have a pair that I haven't used for years but if you're not worried about an exact prescription they're easily available on the internet with different strengths available for each eye, usually working in jumps of +/- 1.0 strength

Today I received an enormous box by courier. (It really was a huge box.) Nestled inside one corner of it was my advent calendar prize - a lovely pair of Gore running gloves. They fit perfectly and I really like them. Thank you Fetch! I’m still made up that I won :)
