I've already got too many outlets for my negligible income, and winter mountaineering, as much as I love it, is one that's fallen by the wayside unfortunately.

Wait unto you try ice climbing; then it gets even more expensive ;-)

Great walk yesterday above the Wastwater Screes with fantastic clear views in all directions, 2 more ticked off Whin Rigg and Illgill Head so we”re now down to single figures.

That is a really lovely pic, Dave A , agree that it should be hanging on the wall :)

The winter skills sounds fab in theory, but I’m not brave enough for icy/snowy edges, however good the instructor!

Getting there, Gromit :) I’ve not added a new Wainright for a year now, must get organised and rectify that!
