Northern Exile, you have nailed it on both accounts. I was really surprised that I found the sheep trods almost bang on from Bakestall to the Ullock Pike ridge as it was totally new to me. The only 'mistake' I made was hacking across some boggy ground instead of going a longer way in and then out of the valley.

Excellent work. And you climbed directly to Ullock Pike? Outstanding. You could have joined the ridge further down at Watches (a Birkett/Synge), but yours was the purer way :-)

Derwentwater from Latrigg, today.

I'm gently rehabilitating my torn calf muscle.

I was reviewing my round of Wainwrights, and have little recollection of Whoap, Grike and Lank Rigg. Thankfully my hill bagging log suggested it was 22/Aug/2007.

I don't believe Whoap is actually a Wainwright OTHT. Might that explain the lack of recollection?

Would you like me to add you to the list of completers?

Has anyone else heard this shocking news of a proposed theme park being built in an old Elterwater quarry? A rollercoaster and zip wire are being planned!!
