Re the start and end point, Mel Steventon didn't start at Moot Hall but all the other record holders have. The BG page, which is now seeming to be trying to be the recorder of records, states the round (and also the Steve Parr Round) should start/finish as Moot Hall "except in exceptional circumstances" and that Moot Hall still needs to be visited. I guess Sabrina decided starting and finishing at home made everything a bit easier.

That's interesting Simon because I saw something elsewhere that said there was no requirement to start and finish at the Moot Hall (I didn't know Mel hadn't) nor was there any requirement to visit it. So there is clearly some dispute as to what is required? And tbh I'm not sure what it has to do with the BG club? That sounds a bit of a 'land grab' to me? The Wainwrights and the BG are two seperate things, in the same way that Wainwright's definition of summits (post both Bob Graham's original round and Alan Heaton's modified BG round) is not really relevant to a BG. More one perhaps for the Wainwright Society or the LDWA than the BG club?

Going back to the Hartsop Dodd to Grey Crag route. Sabrina did indeed go direct and though it is at a very different stage of her round, in very different conditions compared with last time it is never the less interesting to note what took her 86 mins last time took 46 this time. My gut feeling is that she would have struggled to go any quicker by going round. Whether it took more out of her is something that is hard to quantify?

She is RH but in relative terms if it were a marathon she is in the first 5K and on world record pace. That is a recipe for one of two very disparate endings.

Just watched her summit Wansfell from the Struggle. Time was about 21:40:30 but the tracker was miles behind and in fact reports her summiting at 21:44:46
