The opposite of the Mundane thread - post unusual things that have happened.
I called to visit an elderly lady, discovered she was on the floor, and had to call an ambulance. I would have been the hero of the hour, if I'd thought to try the front door before calling the police to gain access.... the door was open!

The average day has more mundane things in it than exciting ones, so I predict this thread will move rather slower.
Isn't there a Chinese curse that runs: "May you live in interesting times"?

Can we post exciting things that have happened in the past?

I have tried to find something exciting for this thread. I've even typed a couple of posts, then deleted them. Clearly my life lacks anything exciting whatsoever and I shall skulk back to the mundane thread...

I have been involved in a few train related incidents recently. I'm not sure that I would class being stuck on a train for hours due to the pantograph pulling the overhead lines down exciting.

I got a lift into work today with our Underwriting Manager. He's effing mental. I was terrified. We got there 15 minutes quicker than we would if I'd driven, though. I might go grey soon if this arrangement becomes a regular thing.

I think they have to be things which have actually happened, rather than things that might happen. How long ago is up to personal discretion.
