Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Warholm is used to using starting blocks if that makes much of a difference ?

Yep, I'd bet on him getting a great start and it may be that his top end speed is just too much for Duplantis.

Maybe the next match up should have them both doing something plyometric, so perhaps test them both over long jump? (Won't happen, and I know some people hate these comparisons!)

Will be mildy disappointing if the runner wins the running race though, won't it?

Mondo 'was' a fast 100m man (boy). I wouldn't be at all surprised if his top speed was quicker than Warholm's. HOWEVER, I suspect the race will be won over the first 30m and as larks and K5 suggest Warholm will be better getting off the line. Mondo will have used blocks as a kid but not for a while.

Mondo may have been doing a bit of blocks practice I suppose (although I'm pretty sure Warholm will win I would like Mondo to)

I’m a bit bemused that it’s a thing at all. Who cares, and why? They might as well play a snooker match or a game of chess.

“Harry Kane plays darts with Joe Root”

And?

I can understand them doing it for money. What I don’t understand is why anyone would pay money for them to do it (or to watch them do it)!

Have to be honest that was my thoughts. A bit of fun between the two but it's not something I'll be rushing to tune in for. I guess all it will likely show is Duplantis has good speed as it's a given that Warholm has good speed.
