I want to start doing the parkrun, as a guide to my marathon training.
I have read that it is going to be barcode only in the future. Anyone have an idea how to turn up with a barcode, when i have no access to a printer? i was going to come this weekend for the first time, but the weather has put the stop on that.

And cover your barcode in sellptape or clear plastic, n stick it on to a bit o card - someone else's business card works well! - :-)G

Hi WolfDancer, if you don't have access to a printer, we generally recommend the local libraries - all of which will have printing facilities. If you can't get to a library, then perhaps friends/family/workplace.
If we don't have our usual venue back, then we will be hosting the event on the 10th at Arthur's seat, hopefully using the route we have currently got in mind.
If you do fancy a run tomorrow, feel free to join us on our social/recce run (jog). We're trying to assess how various abilities are going to handle the course. It has got some moderately steep inclines at some points.

is there any reason you can't access your email from the interet cafe?
If for some reason, the email can't be accessed - then why not sign up for a free email account (such as a gmail one, mail.google.com), forward the barcode email to the gmail acccount.
The googlemail account will be accessible from the cafe.

If your email provider has a web-based interface (like yahoo, bt, hotmail, google...), meaning it is accessed using a browser (internet explorer, firefox, chrome, opera....) then there is a high chance it will be already accessible at the Internet cafe/Library.
Who is your email provider?
