Also funny to think that the Panthers QB room in 2022 was Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield. Both seem to be doing well after leaving the Jets/Browns/Panthers

Am I right in thinking he Vikings were going with their rookie JJ McCarthy this year before he got injured?

They've got quite the conundrum on their hands now. Not to look too far ahead yeah but surely it would be hard to not play Darnold next year?

And if so, how long can you let a high draft pick like that sit behind while Darnold continues to play well?

There's a constant fear that he'll suddenly go back to being Sam Darnold. Must be scary for all concerned.

Darnold is a free agent after this year so I guess it depends on his offers

Tell me about it, Callum's a Vikes fan and watching a game with him is a total emotional rollercoaster.

yes - a chance for someone to give him a massive contract which they try to get out before the end of the first year
