The best thing for DOMS is not to get them, once you have them, then rest/stretching til they go....

Wine Legs
Cold bath. Wine. Obviously. Bike ride. I've always been best if I've biked the day after a big run & the following one too, rather than if I do complete rest.

Not real DOMS if you can slow run !!! I tried that post VLM and got real pain in other previously un DOMed parts of me
Never been brave enough to try and ice bath and not prepared to eithers !

....not had dooms for ages...but the times I have had them hot baths brufen..and lots of arnica gel gentle walking or easy cycle till it feels better!!!
