Spicy fish stew. It’s becoming a weekly thing, but I never get tired of it. If anyone wants the recipe I can post it. Tis very easy; and I serve it with boiled rice.

I go to Mowgli and get the goan fish curry, it's lovely, but I've not tried making a fish curry in a long time. I'd give it a go please

Here you go @Pinks Spicy Fish Stew for two Couple of cod steaks or similar Plain flour 2 tablespoons lime or lemon juice Crushed clove garlic 2 chopped spring onions Large pinch chilli powder Cinnamon stick 2 thin slivers fresh ginger Bay leaf Marinate the fish with citrus juice and salt & pepper for at least an hour. Heat olive oil and fry onions, garlic, cinnamon, chilli powder and ginger until aromatic. Dip the fish in flour and fry both sides for 2 mins. Add citrus marinade and some water + bay leaf. Cover and simmer gently until done, checking seasoning. Serve with sauce poured over; on a bed of boiled basmati rice. |
