Rather splendid day out at Edgbaston! Nice to see Cookie and Root in some form and, as long as he doesn't do the 'add 2 runs to overnight score then get out' thing, I'd fancy Cook to make a double at least.
Malan is probably NTC, but if he survives the first 10 overs, probably then gets the chance to show us his Fearless T20 Hitting (TM)
Cummins looked useful and Roach bowled a few good balls, but the Windies' attack in general was utter potato.
So far, day-night Test cricket seems little different to Test cricket.
Going again tomorrow

Would have been a good series to rehabilitate Hameed by the looks....
Quite tragic looking at yesterday for those of us who started following cricket in the 80s. I still think the natural order of things is that we get thrashed by the Windies, but at least get to beat Australia......
