Bedi hmmmm maybe. I remember watching him on telly and thinking he likes a curry. Excellent bowler hard to find anything bad to say sbout him....

Proper star presence. I seem to recall him changing his turban for one of a different colour over the lunch interval on an otherwise unmemorable championship day at the ECG. He'll always make my 'favourite players' list - but so will Dilip Doshi, which is a bit of a problem when trying to pick a first XI.

Leaving the Bedi/Doshi thing to one side, why isn't Derek Underwood being discussed? Thoroughly decent chap by all accounts.

I've just got my dad his Xmas present. Tickets for the 1st day of Yorkshire v Somerset in July next year at Scarborough.

Obviously he'll need a lift there 😉
