Indeed. A very good effort apart from one bad hour....

OK, it was 101-4 and I said 100-4, but I was close There's now talk of bringing in irresponsible hit and wish specialist Jos Buttlerfingers (24 innings, ave 30, best 85 and he was dropped about 4 times in that knock) for Ben Duckett. MDOTs, no-one will be happier than I will if he scores heavily and saves the tour, but I really do wish we had a seasoned specialist batsman in reserve. Apart from having belatedly discovered an opener, we're really no further forward in developing a side than we were before the Bangladesh tour started. Disappointing. |

I'm pretty sure umpire Dharmasena rolls a dice before making a decision. Seems to be a matter of pot luck for him. The batting is not much different than India were over here in our conditions. |

We need more right handed batsmen, hence Buttler is the best option. There will be a push for Gareth Batty to replace Ansari, although Gareth Barry is a better option. Broad won't be fit, so Woakes hopefully replaces him. incogniti.co.uk |

gotta love the old death by spin. not sure about the duckett debate, heads you drop him and stop his confidence sinking, tails you keep him in and learns the hard way, hrmm. |

SO Buttlerfingers will play... as a specialist batsman... at number 7. In effect, we've replaced an opener (Duckett in Bangladesh) with a number 7. Good work, selectors! |
