Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I’ve been watching the test on Amazon prime for the last few nights. Really enjoying it.

I hear good things. Justin Langer was extremely well thought of in his time at Taunton. There is one tale from the dressing room of when he was first there. It seems there was something of a rancid dressing room at the time and he wasn't having it. Junior player starts taking the p*** out of Andy Caddick, a known introvert but one of very few match winners in the team. In a flash, Langer has said player up against the wall by the scruff of his neck and hisses, when you have 260 Test wickets, you come back and take the p***. Until then, f*** off.

Safe to say, the atmosphere started to change and laid the foundation for the team now.

Langer comes across really well. As does Paine. Maybe too nice but I warmed to them.

Khawaja I don’t like and he just seems to ignore what is said to him

Finch I think would like to be like Khwaja but tries to conform.

Not got to the World Cup or ashes yet.

Oscers - would you apply 'janner' to the Somerset accent? I wouldn't, but someone at work (originally from Plymouth) described all 'west country accents' as janner. Your views?

Ah. Born within 10 miles of the sea. Specifically Plymouthian. We try not to listen too much to Dveonians around these parts.

I can answer in strict terms... more than 20 miles in every direction from my house in the heart of the Blackdown hills to the sea.

All West Country accents is REALLY broad. I wouldn't want to sound like a Bristolian - and they are usually referred to as West Country, even though we ALL know they are just below the Midlands ;-) Asda in Bristol is pronounced Asdle. (like the ending to handle or ladel).
