It just obliterates the cat hair from the stairs with a special brush and it has an upholstery brush that makes light work of the cat hair on the sofa. Different settings for different types of carpets/rugs too blimmin' marvellous! Only took an hour in stead of the usual two and no sitting on hands and knees pushing the brush into the carpet/stairs required either
