Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I was there at 8:50, saw RichHL, who I think was prepping to be a pacer. I then had so sort out eldest son, who was in a flap about his hoody (from the university Jazz band) as he'd forgotten his baggage tag.

Disappointing run for me, 7 minutes slower than last year, and I've just had a 3 hour nap this afternoon, which I've never needed after a race before. My son did 1:28 including a toilet break though, which is a PB by several minutes. I too felt hot going through Grantchester. Seems like there's been a bit of a rainstorm this afternoon, so we got lucky with the weather.

Thought the new course was great, going through King's College and Jesus was a definite plus and it felt less crowded than previously (and no dodging round cars, cyclists, pedestrians. It feels like a really big event now, even compared to last year, very impressed by the number of volunteers and how many people turned out to watch.

its a very different event to the first one. Different but still excellent. I enjoyed the changed course, partly just as it was a change. no bagpiper, isnt there usually a bagpiper?

I have to admit I liked the new course. The gravel section wasn’t ideal but coming downhill for the last 3 miles was much better than a hill for mile 13

That’s a bit of a swizzle. I’ve just been on the Half Marathon website & it says the photos are ready to download. The only trouble is, you have to download them to Facebook & I don’t do social media.

You know what I’m like, I may have missed a link or something. Can any kind soul enlighten me?

- I think that's what they did last year 12bD - it's probably perfectly possible for someone else to donwload them to their facebook and then email them to you or put them in the Fetch gallery - I'll give it a go if you give me your number

You might be able to register on the runpage site and get at it that way, but yes it looked very facebook focused.

Oh, one not good experience that I've not had in a long time today, some ****hole shoving me repeatedly in the back for not getting through the water station fast enough. Bet he tailgates people stuck behind tractors for not bullying the tractor off the road, too.
