Surely Prime Minister's Question Time should count as a British SitCom? Poor scripting and much too dark, generally with many unattractive cast members, but it has to make the list😄

'Father Ted' started off as a wry look at how the Catholic church operated in the farther reaches of Ireland, rather than its less savoury activities. When the repeats started, however, many of the catch phrases were already worn threadbare.
Now Ch 4 and its spawn of spin-off channels is attempting to smother the show by almost nightly repeats. At this point, it's not so funny.
