Burger and chips sounds sensible to me. Not a challenge to do on gels and sickly sports drinks me thinks 🍔

This is a man that was able to stomach gulping down a mouthful of some sports fuel in powder form at changeover points during his PW run and is sponsored by Hammer nutrition. I think the challenge will be largely fueled by a large amount of their products taken to a pre-determined plan with other stuff thrown in as he fancies it.

Good luck to the lad. As you’ve pointed out previously ff these guys (and gals) are outside the ‘norm’ in many respects

Looks like he got to Keswick within a few minutes of the "plan" (seeing seconds for the splits seems odd for a 6+ day challenge)
Weather doesn't look brilliant - don't think he'll be admiring the views on the way round, but at least it's not scorchio.

I’m going to tidy up the sidebar later today. If anyone wants any open tracking or other links putting in there let me know.

Is he having a lie in ? Tracker estimate is 8:07 on top of Skiddaw, should he not have been moving by now ?

Looks like it Gus. Looking at the forecast for Keswick the heaviest rain of the day seems to be in the next hour with it then gradually improving. So I guess he's delaying to avoid the worst of it in the hope that he'll get the time back whilst running.
RH the seconds thing made me smile (he did it on the PW too). It looks like after the Paddy he used the time he'd made up to get extra rest and then stuck strictly to the plan on the ride. After the initial charge he seems to be adhering to the sentiments of "step 3" in his blog.

Issues with the tracker it seems. It would appear he started later than originally planned but not by much. 23 mins down on the overall schedule on Skiddaw, reduced to 16 by Great Calva. He should be back on plan by Threlkeld.

I presume he planned to wait to be allowed to cycle under the mersey tunnel rather than do a longer but unrestricted route via Runcorn?

Yes Larkim, he mentioned that in his pre-run blog. I think he had issues with the alternatiive last time as well, so his timings were set up knowing when he could use the tunnel.
