Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Pardon my ignorance, I've just seen a post on UKC - I guess he must have overnighted at Wrynose, does that mean he has to go back up and do PoB and Cold Pike? I suppose it must.

Yes, but to be counted as a round, he'll have to go back over the Langdale and up to Long Top probably via 3 Tarns.

Not sure if he's aware of this though.

I was looking at how he might break it into days - If he does Crinkle Crags ->Seathwaite today (weather permitting), he could then do the Consiton range tomorrow, finishing in Little Langdale (and if he moves faster include Lingmoor).

Then that leaves Sat to do the Langdale Peaks and Grasmere Common, Fairfield Horseshoe to Kirkstone on Sun, then to Troutbeck or Kentmere on Mon.

Some potential long days after that though

And the fact that he's not moved all morning isn't a good sign.

As an aside, I didn't realise how expensive it was to hire a tracker from Open Tracking! £40 for a weekend!

Aye, not cheap. Anyone know any alternatives to Open Tracking that still offer either OS map or OSM overlays? Interested for my round later this year.

He doesn't have to go back up to 3 Tarns. As long as he restarts at Stool End he can whichever way he likes from there. The round just has to be continuous, it doesn't have to follow a set line. Makes more sense to PoB, Cold Pike, Long Top, Hard Knott now.

There's these guys zp : gbracetracker.co.uk

They did the tracking for an event I did last year - the kit isn't as compact as the open tracking, but I'm assuming they were cheaper as we'd used open tracking the year before

And Tim who organises the Legends trail and Bello Gallico in Belgium also does tracking https://www.legendstracking.com/, no idea of the costs for either though
