Looking for a new set of bone conduction headphones, preferably buds as opposed to wrap around headphone sets, but open to either and would welcome opinions on pros/cons for both as well as any recommendations.

I've never seen any bone-conduction buds - can’t see how they would stay on - but I can highly recommend Aeropex. The Pros I use have two sizes and I can tuck the band under my hat in winter. I can also use them more comfortably than buds when resting on a pillow.

I should have said Shokz OpenRun Pro.

Sorry NR, when I say 'buds' (which I suppose would indicate they go inear) they're actually over ear, so I should have said 'over ear headphones'.

Thanks Dio, I'll watch the forum.

Shokz are great
Customer service too
My first pair had a 2 year warranty and the pause button stopped working after almost exactly 2 years

I didn’t even realise I had a 2 year warranty assumed it was 1
I contacted them for advice as I wear hearing aids and got a brand new replacement pair 2 days later!

Having worn out/broken multiple sets of aftershokz (various models), I splashed out on AirPods which have been flawless. Not what the OP was asking for and there may be reasons to reject them, but they work for me.

As for the aftershokz, I think the basic issue is water/sweat getting into the buttons/charging socket. They also aren't anywhere close to as good on windy days, though the AirPods aren't perfect either.

jdawayinamanger , don’t you find the AirPods “thumping” in every step because they are “closed”. Other than that they are really good.

Very first couple of times out yes I did Frosty The Bowman 🇸🇪 it was a bit disconcerting and I did a bit of googling to find out if I was weird or whether there was a cure.

I had completely forgotten about it until you reminded me just now. Either I got used to it, or it diminished....

Oh, I did change the tips to some replacement foam ones off eBay rather than the original soft white plastic. This may have been what cured it? I don't remember. The foam still fits the ear and blocks sound but perhaps is a bit less of an airtight fit.

Ok, thanks, I might try some other foam tips. Cheers!
