Thanks guys. Mcgoohan, i've read both your Beachy Head blogs now; i was laughing at how bloody awful it all sounded, especially the steps at West Dean. But awful in a good way i reckon. I better get some hill training in between now and then....

I've entered Beachy ... Advice from those who've done it before. Is it best to wear trail shoes? If so any suggestions on a good brand for female, wide feet. I've got iNov8 for off-road but they're uncomfortable to run in for more than an hour.

Sherry if it's dry then road shoes are fine as it's mostly chalk tracks and grass, not rocky or muddy. However if we have heavy rain just before then there are some places that get very muddy and then trail shoes can be good. Even if wet lots of people do it in road shoes though.
