Very personal, isn't it? I don't need cushioning either, so prob not a very good advisor. Never got on with Roclites. Loved Mudclaws, X-talons (still my go to) for grip, but not much cushioning. Hoka Rapa Nui protected my feet over ultras, soles and toes, but rubbish grip. Hope you find one that works. G

I was going to suggest going up half a size and fit an insole in. I use felt! Which gets flattened at some point, but it gives extra "bounce" and for me: warmth!

Well, inov-8 makes insoles for sale now inov-8.com so you could try adding them to the shoe you like for grip.
