I have enormous blisters that are making it difficult to walk :-( Thankfully I'm working from home and don't have to go anywhere or put shoes on for a couple of days!

Dio you have spent much larger parts of this year uninjured and increased your mileage. So a) don’t break yourself getting to an arbitrary target because you’ll turn it into a drudge and b) jolly well done, keep it up

Hear, hear Dio, you've had a pretty good year, just a shame that the weather and life buggered it up at the eleventh hour.

Planning to go to club tonight, we'll be doing a donation to a charity first then a local Christmas lights run followed by a visit to a pub. I'm just hoping that the rain stops at the correct time.

Ds1 seems fine, slept from 6pm till 10am. I slept like crap as everything hurts. I also have some chafing right above my moon which is sore. I'll be fine after a day or two of hobbling though :) I think our run walk ratio was a bit too ambitious given our lack of training. We walked a minute every mile, but the conditions were too nasty to walk much more I suppose. The wind was so cold! Beachy marathon really was the easy one in comparison!

Yes the long mostly road races are really hard on the joints and in weather and by the coast they can be pretty grim. Much harder to take on food and much more public if you get it wrong too!

Carpathius Yes I did run yesterday. Just got home horrible driving conditions. A few aches so apart from work shall be taking it easy until parkrun Saturday.
