Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Another Rebound class with weighted gloves, which you can really feel when youโ€™ve done a Box Fit class the day before :) Iโ€™ll play on the bouncy floor tomorrow for extra layered DOMS :)

Welcome back Turtlemama after the AWOL episode; hope things are now going better for you.

Apparently the running club is doing hill reps in town tonight. I haven't been out with them for ages, as I feel bad about the rest of the crowd having to keep waiting for me. But hill reps will be ok, as I can just do not so many reps, and keep up that way. So I shall go and resume contact (it will be after dark, which I don't much like, but there will be street lights).

Damp and mizzly day here. Can't get to intervals tonight (again!) as I have 'Options Evening' at J's High school. Have been swimming at lunchtime though. Took on board some of the advice from last week. Definitely kick my legs too hard and lift and turn my head so did some practice on not doing either of these. Tried a few (3) lengths with my pull buoy safely between my legs and concentrated on my arms. It did feel a bit smoother if I concentrated on them. Also a couple of lengths of just turning my head and not lifting it. Not so good - needs more practice.
Hope everyone who is under the weather starts to feel better soon.

I am still here ๐Ÿ˜Š. Work meeting was ok-ish. I move location on 3rd Feb. Nicer area, same crewmate but the rota doesn't work well with childcare and there's nothing that can be done at present. Will be relying on swapping shifts with colleagues and praying to all known deities that I don't finish late too often. I've said I'll give it 6 months then review.
On the plus side, the station where the ops manager could meet me was in Coventry, not far from where I used to live (I'm moving bases from Solihull to Warwick) so I literally ran down memory lane, doing a little route I used to run over 8yrs ago! Was going to do 6 miles but did the shorter 4.5mile option since I felt a bit tired.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed, sometimes even running.
