Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Morning.

I have to collect my car from the garage 3.5 miles away, perfect running distance apart from being over a steep hill and me having all sorts of leg issues.

Happy anniversary PH.

I am going for a run this morning, the first for over 5 weeks now and hopefully in between the showers.

Thanks. I'm not sure what it is, whether it is sciatica, piriformis, or my ITB issues. I went to my Mum's yesterday which means I spend longer driving than normal. Sitting exacerbates the issue and by the time I was driving home I was in a lot of discomfort, especially felt in the ligament at the outside of the back of my knee. As it's the right leg I can't rest it or change the position of the leg much. Then I had to get up in the middle of the night to do more stretching as it was keeping me awake. This morning, sitting at my desk I am especially feeling it in my hip and buttock despite sitting on a couple of cushions. I'm off to do some research.

Awesome Linds

Dio that's not good. Can you keep moving regularly during the day. Also I recommend doing some short yoga routines to keep your back and hips mobile. Adrienne does a 6 minute one, which I'll look out. I'm just about to do a 10min one from Yoga Dose as well. I'll post the links in a bit.

Thanks, TB, I'll take a look. I am already doing a programme of stretches that help (but not normally at 2am). I don't think it's ITB as it's not brought on by running, sitting for extended periods definitely make it worse, but when it's at it's most painful that's where I feel it worse.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.
