Morning, everyone - good luck, McG, Liebling and co - and happy travels, Lorraine.

Paula - that sounds ace: where in the Peak District is it? :)

6 crispy, crunchy miles this morning - icy conditions plus daylight = just right for a trail run. New shoes are bizarrely perfect for my right foot but giving me horrid instep blisters on my left.

Oh, how on earth do you cope (just read end of elderly parent thread - usually read it guiltily as I feel like a depressed ancient parent sometimes).

So wishing all injuries & lurgies better, & offspring of the elderly some solutions. Its an unimaginably frustrating time. & 12barDavid, missed your early morning post, wishing you a better day & a more peaceful night to follow.

The pool sounds great Mandy - being close is important, bonus that it’ll be a new one :-)

I swam earlier, unusually quiet pool, just the right amount of fellow swimmers.

I'm going to Center Parcs for the weekend for a friend's 40th birthday. I've never been. Little bit stressed now.

Carp - if you're feeling a bit stressed (and can afford it) head to the Aqua Sana for a few hours. Swim/sauna/steam (repeat over and over ..) .. you can't beat it. Or embrace your inner child, head for the main pool and have a play on the flumes ..
