The fiancee may have dual nationality. She grew up in this country but her mother is Italian. That might make things easier. Or not.

Back to the serious business of training, I did an hour and a half's gardening this afternoon and have logged it as cross-training.

the fact that there is the job of 'wedding facilitator' to tell you how the bureaucracy works does not inspire confidence, for a start! But maybe her mum might know which people to sweet-talk/bribe...

Been looking at it, Fleecy.
It says you will need a birth certificate which is less than 6 months old...

They've probably researched it all already. They've both got their heads screwed on, and Son is a lawyer. However, I'll send him the link.

And then there was getting 4 people to swear at an Italian over here and then swearing at an embassy over there. And I didn't even read the other bits...

It may or may not be the "in" place, .B. The fiancee has lots of relatives in Italy, which is the reason for the venue. Plan is to have a small and select number of guests, and a big party in London later in the year.

About This Thread

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2017 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed and sometimes even some running is talked about.

Happy running :-)
