Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I think thats down to the individual. WHat you are capable of, what you've done in the past, injury history etc. But, if you feel ok with it, carry on if you like

A very individual thing but having had less than 10 non running days in 2008 I picked up two bad injuries and lost 2009. These days I may train everyday but I make sure I have at least one non running day a week.

It just gives the body time to repair.

Race Jase - I take plenty of rest days which is why I usually struggle to meet my targets LOL. I do try and cross-train on some of them though.I would say listen to your body because we are all different.

Thanks for the advice folks. I think the difficult things is that now I've got into the streak, it's hard to think about breaking it. Wednesday shall be a rest day for me!

Anyway 17.63 miles this morning run progressively. Starting at 8's and finishing sub 7's which was nice - felt great. 50 ahead of target, eek!

another wet, icy, slushy and snowy TT for me this morning. Hard work indeed but feel strong.

8 and a bit miles in front of target so when Rach runs later I shall sit on the bike for 30 mins.

Another 50 mile week in the bag

Ok, well pissed off now. What a day, ships all over the place. Rolling like a pig and 17 metre heave, another night that the treadie is out of limits. 6.89 miles ahead of target though. Looks like a better day tomorrow so will try for a long run then.

Managed 10 on the tarmac today. Nearly hit by 4x4's four times! I must have "PLEASE HIT ME" written on my clothing!
