Have tried to start running lots of times, invariably ending up injured after doing too much too soon. My latest attempt started last summer, forcing myself to keep plodding along despite it feeling far too slow, and constantly telling myself to look forward to the eventual benefits - something I'm not good at. Have managed to stay injury free so far - a personal record! On the plus side, I live in a beautiful part of the world so at least there's something nice to look at as I run, and plenty of mud to enjoy.
